Registration for Incoming Pre-K for 2017-2018

Prekindergarten is a special program for eligible four-year-old students. The prekindergarten program is designed to meet the needs of a child's early years, which are a period of rapid growth.

The Austin Independent School District provides a full-day prekindergarten program for all children who turn four years old on or before September 1st of the current school year. Students must also qualify for the PreK program by meeting one of the following criteria:
  • Limited-English proficient (LEP) OR
  • Educationally disadvantaged OR
  • Child of active military parent OR
  • Homeless or Foster Child
Registration for prekindergarten officially begins on Monday, April 3rd, 2017, however on line registration is now open for all new students. Registration is open for students within Oak Hill boundaries by going to:

The following documents must be brought to registration:
  • Current paycheck stub (if qualifying by income)
  • Proof of residence, such rental contract or utility bill (electric, water, gas)
  • Official birth certificate or equivalent
  • Up-to-date immunization record
  • Parent/guardian photo ID
Parents of a future Pre-K student are welcome to attend the Kinder Orientation on April 4 at 8:30 AM.
