Bond Update from the OHE PTA

The AISD Board of Trustees, Austin Council of PTA and Oak Hill Elementary PTA have voted to support the bond in this upcoming election. The 2017 bond is designed to replace, improve, renovate and equip facilities for AISD's approximately 83,000 students and 12,000 employees. Early voting is Oct. 23–Nov. 3 and Election Day is Nov. 7. The bond is a little over $1 billion and will not increase property tax rates.

Oak Hill Elementary is slated for a $1.16 million "full modernization" under the proposed bond, including:

Districtwide Fire and Intrusion Alarm Upgrades • Districtwide Security Camera Replacements • Electrical System Improvements • Plumbing Improvements • Safety Improvements • Stairway Safety Improvements • Technology: Computer Lab Improvements • Technology: Network System Improvements • Technology: Presentation Systems • Technology: Teacher Computers
