Welcome to Oak Hill Elementary!

We are happy you are here and we want to help you feel “at home” at your new school.
Registration for the New School Year
Online Registration helps save parents time by reducing the number of paper forms that need to be completed. It also helps families keep track of the information the district has on file for their student.

Families who do not have an Austin ISD Parent Cloud account can create one at https://my.austinisd.org/.

New to OHE? Please gather the following documentation as it MUST be provided in person to OHE for all students new to Austin ISD BEFORE registration is considered complete. Please scan in the following documentation and email them to our school registrar to complete your registration process:
  • a state issued birth certificate,
  • current record of immunizations,
  • child's last report card (if applicable),
  • proof of address (rental contract or utility bill with valid address),
  • parent photo identification or driver's license, and
  • the child's Social Security Card
If you have any questions about school registration, contact the school registrar at 414-5141. For more information about registering in Austin ISD, please click here

2017–18 Transfer Information
Austin ISD will begin accepting requests for school transfers for the 2017–18 school year on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Requests may be submitted or mailed to the Office of Student Services (Room A200), Carruth Administration Center, 1111 W. Sixth St. during regular business hours, 7:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Applications for priority transfers and non-priority transfers will be accepted through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.

Applications can be found at: https://www.austinisd.org/transfer

Parents submitting requests for students who are new to the district or who have had an address change since enrolling in school this year need to attach proof of residence and a photo ID. A birth certificate needs to be provided for students who are new to the district.

OHE Student Handbook
Every year, each student at OHE is given a student parent handbook that outlines the policies and procedures at Oak Hill Elementary. This handbook is produced by OHE school administrators.  Click here to view the student handbook.

Kindergarten Parent Handbook
You can also find a lot of helpful information in the Kindergarten Roundup Parent Handbook, produced by the PTA. While this document is geared toward kindergarten parents, it contains information that is likely to be helpful for all new parents.

If you have questions, send us an email.

For the Spanish handbook, click here.

Bus Routes
The bus routes are updated EVERY summer depending on student registrations. In August, AISD sends a letter via the USPS mail that has each student's bus information. To get an idea of bus schedules, prospective parents may look at the CURRENT routes to get an idea of the when and how's of the bus system. AISD has a bus stop finder utility here.

Summer Playdates for Incoming Kindergartners!
Is your child is starting kindergarten at Oak Hill Elementary in the fall? Come to a playdate! This is an opportunity to meet new friends in an informal setting before school starts. The play dates will be at the OHE Kindergarten Annex playground. Come to one, two, or any that you can make! Play dates are from 9-10 am and are listed on our calendar.

There are no restroom facilities available during these play dates as the school is closed. Don't forget to bring water and a snack!
